Submissions reopened

We apologize for messing up. We've had a few complaints about us closing the submissions too early. It was unfair to do so and we are sorry. In recognition of this, the deadline is extended to the 18th June. Feel feel to submit anything you like! We won't be able to publish all submissions, so we are looking to creating a zine for those submissions that didn't make it into Queerlient due to space constraints. More updates to follow!

Below are some ideas to help get you started on your article/review!


There are a few requirements for articles:

  1. Maximum of 1200 words (flexible)
  2. Describes a queer-related theme
  3. Graphics would be nice but not neccessary.

    4. Requirement for reviews:

    1. Maximum of 600 words (flexible)
    2. Describes a queer-related theme
    3. Graphics would be nice but not neccessary.

      4. Deadline for submissions is 11th June 2021.


      Article Ideas

      1. The culture of the community
      2. History of local queer icons
      3. Biography of a queer person in history, e.g. Katherine Mansfield, Alan Turing

      Review Ideas

      1. The gayness of eateries around Wellington/campus
      2. Best queer books
